Weekends are like those precious days for SJ and me to spend the days together without any worry for work, especially when its a Saturday since not only can we wake up late, we can have a late night since its Sunday the next day as well. So, the day started as planned - movie at Cineleisure, followed by a dinner, and then a chill out night at one of the bars over at Clarke Quay/Timbre/Hard-rock cafe.
Its actually a compensation day for the celebration of White Day which we both missed since i was in Bangkok then. I know Singapore doesn't really celebrate White Day, but well, i think White Day is a pretty good reason for girls to receive presents
, so i am gonna say that its an important date!
Apparently ever since we got together, i have been watching lesser and lesser romance chick flicks. A recall of the last three movies that I had watched - The Oz, Stand up guys & Django. I'm losing my romantic side and becoming so much more violent! Review of Django - is a really violent show, at least from my P.O.V. All the random killings and the *cue gunshots* got me slapping SJ's arms during the movie and saying "What the heck, why is this movie so violent D'8" . The redeemable point would be - Leonardo's sexy face & the plot was pretty good. Its actually pretty thoughts-provoking because it talks about the problem of racism back then over at the European countries.
In fact, i think its actually rather similar of what's going on in Asia now. Not saying that everyone is calling their maids "Niggas" , but i feel that someone of us still do feel that they are lower in rank than us, being maids and all. It's pretty much the laws that are stopping people from doing extreme stuffs as per say in the movie, but really, its a good watch if you have 2.5 hours to spare. & what there's to say, there are quite some scenes which gets you laughing. Its a M18 show though, and the ratings comes mostly from the violence.
The mussels are really really
Its a definite must-try if you are hitting this restaurant any sooner!
Tried the NYC Fish and Chips! I would say its a 7/10 , so pretty average. I'm not a big fan of fish and chips so maybe this dish didn't tantalize my taste buds as much as the mussels. (Can't stop thinking about how good the mussels are!)
Onwards, we went to Clarke Quay. Was deliberating between Timbre, Hard Rock Cafe and Clarke Quay, but ended up with CQ because Timbre is pretty ulu and we wanted to take a night rider home. Next, HRC's music is not really for me because i don't listen to oldies as much as SJ does. We went and walked around CQ, saw that Zirca was replaced by a new club called "Dreams", which has lines queuing outside. Has anyone went there already? It looks pretty good, but the amount of "fog" they release is ridiculous.
Ended up in The Beer Market (still my favorite place because that's the only bar i went to, and i went there with different groups of friends sooooooo memories!
) The concept is also interesting enough to make me wanna visit it the second time. The band playing there that night was pretty good. The lead singer is good, the girl rapper aka keyboard player seems to be too shy and didn't maximize her potential, of which is a sad thing. There were 2 other guitarists, of which one seems to look pretty gay with the way he play his guitar, and how he kinda look as if he is checking out the butt of everyone who sang from our angle. I know its bad to judge, but really,,, it looks really gay. The second guitarist was fine, and the drummer at the back is hidden like a ninja.
But overall the band is good, the music is good, the company is godlike, and the drinks are priced pretty decently. (still misses those times whereby a 500ml beer costs only SGD4. ITS LIKE WTF LITERALLY SCREAMING FOR YOU TO JUST BUY)
Anyways, it was a good night spent and the present by SJ was a pleasant surprise <3 I already thought of what to write inside the diary so be surprised.
Practically lazing around the whole day because we had a late night the day before. (Reached home at around 3am+ ) . The original plan was to hop over to his house to play with Tigger, have the famous chicken rice he raved about so much, before coming over to my house to play Sims 3 and maybe War Of Tanks for him. (That guy showed off his Tier 4 tank to me just now I better catch up soon)
In the end, i woke up at nearing 2pm, and he woke up at nearing 3pm. I took my own sweet time to laze around and prepare, and i needa to get to Lot 1 because my eyelash glue was running out. Anyway just a quick sidetrack, for anyone who is looking around for a really good and reliable eyelash glue, try Starlash.
I have been using it and sticking to it ever since twinny recommends me this brand. Its good as heck, and the price is okay too. (Reminisce about the times when those sales assistants at Far East would talk about how their eyelash glue comes from KOREA
and its REALLY REALLY GOOD
, and only costs like SGD20 odd for a bottle )
Anyways, i uses eyelash glue to fake a double eyelid because stickers doesn't work as well for me. I find this brand really good - be it for fake double eyelid or just for sticking falsies. I would give it a good 9/10 , the last point be it that when its almost finish, the "brush" is too short to touch the bottom of the bottle. You have to "shake" the fluid out, or use another longer "brush" to get the fluid. If all else fails, you throw it away. A small bottle of 3mg is SGD5, and the large one is SGD9.90 for 5mg.
I think its actually ok for the quality, so i'm gonna stay loyal. For people who wanna try out a new brand, you can try this. Its not bad.
Next, we had pastamania (my breakfast at 5pm T^T) and walked around Lot 1 and Westmall. Went back to my house for a movie on my laptop - The Dictatorship, while having the seafood fried rice from a nearby coffee shop. its very good ok, and we actually wanted more,, until my mum wants me to mop the floor
SJ was sweet enough to help me with the mopping (SORRY
, it was actually my job), and continue to be sweet enough to help me paint my nails
when i kinda demands it
HAHAHA, for a first-timer its not bad lah. I give you credits for choosing a nice color too!
& that, ended our weekends together, whereby he will need to start working again tomorrow, and i, will continue to rot like some old woman in need of a job and my university reply, hopefully.
Okay, back to Vampire dairies and Damon's sexy ass.
