So, decided to update my blog again hahaha. Cosfest updates are actually kinda upped on dA already over here >> http://itsmejunko.deviantart.com/#/d577nyj
, and i posted all pictures up on facebook as well already.
So i don't really feel like posting and/or talks about it anymore. So on with other updates as well as well, just thoughts i guess. In fact the reason why i wanted to blog is more of to write down my thoughts towards certain issues?~
Rainbow Girl - Gero feat.Lon >> Photoshoot
Had a photoshoot over at William mama's house with Maggi when she visited SG few days ago! Wanted to cos ZONE-00 with her at first, but my dress hasn't arrived on time so i couldn't lend it to her. Ended up cosplaying this song which i really really loved and was so into it for weeks!
Gero was really cute and awesome inside, and Lon sounded perfect and amazing. Acting out as an Otaku was quite difficult for me, because i'm not really a gamer. I do game, but i'm really those rare once-in-a-while once? The game of which i played the most was in fact Maple Story rofl. And i get so fed up when i kept dropping down from the stupid staircase to heaven or whatever that's called. I remembered riding on a panther and feeling all cool until i realized that my level was so low and i kept dying.
ANYWAYS! So portraying the expression was tough and took a number of tries + scoldings from William mama
/ but i still love you.
I only uploaded one picture onto dA, and there's this second picture which i hasn't uploaded because i'm still trying to see if the overall feel of the picture is nice. Maybe i'll just post it here and you guys can tell me about it?
Special thanks to Etine for styling my wig as well as helping out, Angeline & Alan for coming as well
& then, some of the pictures we took!(x
It's really amazing as of how i met Maggie through weibo and we became friends from there. Cosplay. So many things i've learned, have experienced from it. It started out as a hobby, but slowly it became a learning journey for me. A journey to discover and understand myself better, to learn to deal with different situations and with different people, to learn how to talk with tact, to socialize and to understand and work as a team or as a pair.
There are so many issues to talk about, so many unclear rules and judgement going on sometimes. I don't think its suitable to talk about it online, especially with how words can be easily misunderstood. It's also hard to talk to friends, because some don't understand. But in either case, being a cosplayer teaches a lot, and you learn a lot. It can get stressful at times, but its still a fruitful hobby.
Birthday celebration for Cassia
Went out yesterday with the clique for Cassia's late birthday celebration! Swifty came to my school to meet me first before we head to Jcube together
It has been really really long since i last met her, so i was really happy to have met her!
We have had happy times together, sad times together, and we have had cold war before. A really big quarrel. But i think that everything made us closer as friends
It's just my blessings to have them in my life
They truly feel happy for me when i have good news, and they're there for me when i need someone around me. I think i'll love them till the day we all grow old and lose all our teeth & yet we can sit together and talk about all these memories in the past
And last but not least, just a small news to share with everyone.
I decided to just add in the tag for submission to Cosmode on worldcosplay when i happen to see the information on the side bar talking about it :) I'm really surprised that my picture got onto the magazine, because it was really normal and plain as compared to the others in the magazine and other entries!
Thank you to Tsuki, Emily and William for being such awesome helpers and Tsuki for the picture, edit as well as my make up. I touched up a little on the picture afterwards too though cause i like pictures to have stronger colors
& Melisa too for being the awesome Kaito.
Saw many SG cosplayers being featured on the magazine as well, including Chloe, Alan and Vic :) There's also a section on STGCC with event pictures
All in all, i don't think this is anything to be particular proud of, but yes, i guess i was really excited and happy when i first saw the picture on the magazine haha! Thanks to mummy for buying the magazine for me
